National Association of Jewellers (NAJ)
The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) is the trade association for the whole of the UK jewellery industry, supporting their businesses profitably and responsibly. The NAJ believes the collective success of its members ensures a thriving UK jewellery industry now and for future generations. It achieves this through four pillars.
1. Representation: The NAJ lobbies for positive change within the jewellery sector and acts on behalf of the industry to shape and influence external policy with the government and key stakeholders.
2. Professional standards: The NAJ provides guidance on legal requirements and best practices for running a compliant and honest business.
3. Education and training: The NAJ provides industry-leading JET retail training courses as well as end-point assessments for jewellery retail apprenticeships and an endorsement programme for industry training schemes to ensure they meet the trade's standards.
4. Member benefits: The NAJ provides targeted benefits for members, including increased exposure via its Find a Jeweller directory, security alerts through SaferGems, customer compliant mediation with NAJ Resolve and 24-hour legal, tax and HR advice via its Better Business Advice Line.
